The Adventures of Poor Mrs. Quack (Dover Children's Thrift Classics)
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (December, 1993)
Authors: Thornton W. Burgess, Harrison Cady, and Thea Kliros

Blat
This book is wonderful. It is completely told from the duck's point of view, which coincedently (surprisingly) is thick with anti-hunting sentiments. Nearly every page has one reference or another to how hearltless, cruel, unfair, etc that hunters are. Whether you agree with this sentiment or not, the blatant one sideness of the story makes this a very amusing book (I first read this when I was 7, now I'm 21 and I still love it, as a child I loved the plot and the characters, as an adult I love how Burgess is able to convey his beliefs and naturalist knowledge into a children's story)

The Adventures of Reddy Fox (Dover Children's Thrift Classics)
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (January, 1992)
Authors: Thornton W. Burgess, Thorton W. Burgess, Harrison Cady, and Thea Kliros
Average review score:

Excellent book for children
I just reread the Burgess books at the age of 21, and I still find them as interesting, fun, and educational as I did when my father read them to me when I was little. These books have a timeless quality to them, and once you have read one, you want to read them all. The Aventures of Reddy Fox, being the first of the 20 bedtime story books, grabs your attention in this way. I would definitely recommend all the Burgess books as a must for parents to read to their children. These books are also an interesting way of learning about different species of animals in a way much more fun than studying an encyclopedia.

Aiko Sticker Paper Doll
Published in Calendar by Dover Pubns (November, 1997)
Authors: Yuko Green and Dover
Average review score:

Fun!
Aiko is very fun for the price! Especially if you are interested in Japanese culture. This is a great way to have fun and learn more about Japanese clothing and what a little Japanese girl would typically wear to various events and seasons. Also suggested: Chinese Mei-Mei sticker doll.

American Historical Illustrations and Emblems
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (June, 2003)
Author: Dover
Average review score:

Another terrific collection
Illustrations primarily from 18th and 19th century sources. More period eagles and flags than you'll ever use. Military graphics mostly Revolutionary War and Civil War. Graphics scanned at 600 dpi and saved in BMP, EPS, GIF, JPEG, PICT, and TIFF formats. Just the ticket for national holidays, history buffs and lending a touch more of authenticity to your Civil War reenactment notices.

Great clips!
This Dover book/CD-ROM and the one on books, reading & writing are my two favorites (well, I like the food one too...and the Egyptian....) All the animals are from 19th C. illustrations. The volume is a terrific addition to the expanding Dover CD-ROM library.

Animal Studies: 550 Illustrations of Mammals, Birds, Fish and Insects (Dover Pictorial Archive Series)
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (January, 1999)
Author: Mathurin Meheut
Average review score:

Not at all cartoony
in it's approach, this book is crisp and accessible. It describes a good variety of animals in a manner more familiar to an industrial designer than a fine artist. All the images read beautifully with strong visual communication skill apparent in every regard. As a student in Entertainment Design I hold this to be an invaluable reference.

Applied Probability Models With Optimization Applications (Dover Books on Mathematics)

Libro realmente interesante, que aporta un nuevo enfoque

Aristophanes Clouds
Published in Paperback by Oxford University Press (September, 1989)
Authors: Aristophanes and K.J. Dover
Average review score:

Don't Like Greek Stuff? Read this anyway--you might like it!
I'm in a humanities program at the University of Vermont, and this book was like watching "Roseanne" after a marathon of "The McGlocklin Group" (or however one spells that). It's not humoruous in the way that many fine Shakespere funny--Aristoph. actually made me laugh out loud! Read this when you're in the mood for something witty, but not too pretentious.
